The Minister for Energy and the Environment is a junior ministerial post in the Scottish Government. As a result, the minister does not attend the Scottish Cabinet but reports to the Cabinet Secretary for Wellbeing Economy, Fair Work and Energy and Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs, Land Reform and Islands.
The role was expanded to include the Environment. [1][2]
The current minister is Gillian Martin who was appointed in March 2023.[3]
