The 2023–24 Plunket Shield is the 95th season of the Plunket Shield, the domestic first-class cricket competition that is played in New Zealand. The tournament started on 20 October 2023, and the final round of matches will be played in 24 March 2024.[1][2][3] Central Districts are the defending champions, having won their 12th title the previous year.[4]

- Batting bonus points: 1 point each for reaching 200, 250, 300, and 350 runs within the first 110 overs of each team's first innings.
