Jayden Danns (born 16 January 2006) is an English footballer who plays as a striker for Liverpool.[1]

Early life

Born locally to Liverpool, Danns joined Liverpool F.C. when he was eight years-old.[2] His father, Neil Danns, had also previously been on schoolboy terms at the club.[3] He attended Rainhill High School, with whom he won the Year 8 Merseyside Schools Cup in 2019.[4]

Career

Danns progressed through the Liverpool academy and began playing for the Liveepool U18 side when he was 16 years-old.[5] He began the 2023-24 season in fine form, scoring in every competitive match for the for the Liverpool under-18s between August and December 2023, totalling nine goals in seven games. He also scored four goals in three games in the in the 2923-24 U18 Premier League Cup.[6][7]

He made his debut at senior level in the EFL Trophy, appearing as a second half substitute against Morecambe in September 2023.[8]

International career

He was called up to play with the England Under-18s in October 2023.[9]

Personal life

He is the son of former professional footballer Neil Danns.[10][11]His grandfather, also called Neil, was a singer on the UK's entry in the 1987 Eurovision Song Contest as well as a European title-winning skateboarder.[12][13]
